Happy Halloween and OMG!

Hope you had the happiest, candiest, spook-tac-lu-lar Halloween! Our Princess chose to be, well, a Princess, Arielle to be exact!

Lounging on our neighbor's couch (I kid you not! :)

With Royal Red Hair, Crown and Scepter

Posing with Twin Power Rangers at her Pre-School Party

Look at the Poser!
The OMG part is that Kelsey took to the pre-school parade in supermodel fashion...she strutted in, maneuvered her way to the front of the line and ultimately posed like the Diva she is!
Kurt and I laughed till we cried (at least I cried) when the kids sang songs and then got on a stool to model their outfits. The photo above is Kelsey's moment in the spotlight...wow....we are in super trouble!
After the parade, we took the Princess home, had a little lunch, got into make-up and met Lily and Susan for trick or treating. Kelsey walked around herself and didn't even use the stroller. It's a pretty long walk for a little girl. After we finished (over an hour later) we rested for a bit, answered the door to our own trick or treaters and then drove up the street to a local church's trunk or treat (totally fun, btw!) We were done and home before 7pm. I thought Kelsey would zonk out fast...but our sugared up sweetie lasted until 8:30 before crashing for the night.
This morning she woke up @ 7am and asked if she could go Trick or Treating again today! :)
She's already planning next year's costume...either Tinkerbell or Cinderella. We'll see :)

It's Been a While

I'm writing this while the Trophy Husband and the Angel Face slumber peacefully next to me. They fell asleep watching Sleeping Beauty this evening.

It's been a while, and we've been busy. Work is great, but hectic. Our economy is frightening and the elections are about 2 weeks away.
But here's the good stuff...

I love the way she keeps her hands up while she's singing. I also found it funny the way she got distracted starting the ABC's.

Kelsey isn't a child who loves to learn (YET!) She has a great imagination and loves loves LOVES to "pway" She adores pre-school, I believe for the social interaction and the new toys. She loves ballet for the fun barre and the songs she's learning.

Right now she is a healthy, joyous child who loves nothing more than to love, play and run around. Her favorite things are "us days" (when it's just Daddy, Mommy and Kelsey) But I know she is a smartie...and she doesn't forget anything important to her. (like if you've promised her something (like a puppy when she turns 5) She has a great sense of direction...

Kelsey, you are one smart cookie...you just need to add that love of learning to your repetoire and you'll be all set.

Here are some random things we've done lately...

She became a cow
Posed with Daddy and large squash

Rode a Pony

Kidnapped all my autumnal decorations (notice the pink Princess potty that plays music when she tinkles)

Started to play computer games (before I cut her hair...I regret we did that now)

Played with Footy and Sister
Fell in love with gourds

Tried to ride a pumpkin

Chose "the one!"

Petted a cow

You know, basically having a beautiful life.
See you soon!

I love Contests About Home Things!

I'd really like to win this....

Shameless plug for a really neat book called "Entertaining Simple" that I found on a Blissfully Domestic Sister site called "Restyled Home"

To meet the criteria, I have to include, a shot of the book (above):

A shot of one of the photos on her blog (how could I NOT choose the choco cupcake?) YUM!
Plus a photo of the author.

I also need to tell my legions of fans (LOL) that this book "Entertaining Simple" can be purchased at bookstores across the U.S. and Canada; include the following link to Matthew's website: http://www.entertainingsimple.com/index.php?option=com_flippingbook&book_id=2&Itemid=1 .

Wish me luck...this blogger's site is always a pleasure to view and I really hope I win! :)

Meet Footy and Sister

Everyone, meet Footy and Sister...Footy and Sister, this is everyone!

Kelsey has been mildly foot obsessed since we brought her home. The girl has always loved her feet touched, kissed and tickled. If you do Footy (her left) you MUST do Sister (her right).

Kelsey and Kurt named her feet and this is seriously how we refer to them. They do pop up at odd places...like at the dinner table. And they have their own unique voices. You can have a conversation with Footy or Sister or Footy AND Sister.

I completely enjoy the relationship with Footy and Sister. Oh, and 30 year old Kelsey...you better be referring to your feet as Footy and Sister because if you don't, I will be writing their names on the bottom of your shoes forever!

Ah, the imagination of a little girl....

In Serious Need of a 12-Step Program

Hi, my name is JoAnn and I'm a Bejewled-aholic!

What, did you expect me to say wine, pot or something more sinister?

LOL...not me. I know I have an addictive personality - chocolate, carbs, diet coke...video games.

I can play this for hours...and I itch to play it at the office, so far I've been able to abstain.

I'm hoping I can get this out of my system...soon!

Until then, send me some good karma please!
